This System is Taiwan’s first total
solution, enabling museums to provide mobile multimedia tour guide
services to their audiences.
The main function of
Museum Intelligent Wireless Navigation System is to leverage the
museum’s physical and virtual environment to increase tour guide
efficiencies and provide visitors with personalized services.
This system is built
using Microsoft Visual Studio .Net platform, and Data exchange and
integration is based on XML and Web Service.
The system’s web site
provides dynamic information that includes Marine topic content,
Location based information, tour guide, online shopping and news
announcement by the museum. Other key technologies behind this
system including: Web Server, Data Base Server, Video Stream
Server, Radius Server, 3G/GPRS Roaming and Mobile IP etc.
The Intelligent Wireless Navigation System combined of
Wireless LAN environment, Rich media and Location Base Service
technology integrated with personalized tour guide applications is
designed to provide powerful capability for users to explore
knowledge in museums and other theme exhibition centers. |
